Two new residential areas to be created in Frankfurt

New residential areas are planned to be built on both sides of the highway, as well as in Sulzbach - a suburb of Frankfurt. One of them can accommodate up to 30,000 people, while the second one, located in Sulzbach, some 6,000 more inhabitants.

According to forecasts of local authorities, by 2030, additional 184,000 housing units need to be constructed in Frankfurt to help to overcome the housing crisis. The lack of houses and apartments is a problem for many large cities in Germany. Since 2008, there has been a sharp increase in the flow of residents from rural areas of the country, as well as foreigners.
