Modernization of North Korea’s infrastructure is estimated at $63 billion

As the TV channel highlights, analysts estimate the cost of rebuilding transport and energy infrastructure of North Korea at more than $63 billion.

In particular, the following transport and infrastructure sectors of the country need to be modernized: railways, highways, airports, seaports, power stations, mines, refineries and gas pipelines. So, about $24.1 billion will be required for 28 railway projects, $22.8 billion will have to be allocated to 33 road projects. Another 16 power plant projects can cost about $10 billion.
