Russian President Vladimir Putin and the head of FIFA Gianni Infantino visited on Tuesday a new stadium in the city of Krasnodar.
They were accompanied by Deputy Prime Minister Vitaly Mutko, presidential aide Igor Levitin and director general of Magnit retailer Sergey Galitsky, who is the president of Krasnodar football club and s ponsor of the stadium’s construction.
Vladimir Putin and Gianni Infantino walked around the football field and talked to activists of Russia’s leading volunteer organizations. The President drew attention to a large number of volunteers involved in the maintenance of football tournaments – 5,800 for FIFA Confederations Cup and 20,000 – for World Cup.
As Gianni Infantino noted, no one should doubt that Russia would fulfill all its obligations within the framework of preparations for FIFA sports events.
