CEDRUS opens new manufacturing unit in southern Russia

As our special correspondent, Yevgeniy Gorchakov, reports from the ground, the plant’s opening ceremony was attended by the Stavropol regional governor Vladimir Vladimirov, director general of “PK CEDRUS” LLC Sergey Chubchev and director general of “TD CEDRUS” LLC Vladimir Dokuchaev.

The new facility has been built over the course of two years by CEDRUS – one of Russia’s leaders in production and realization of construction materials. The enterprise is estimated at 850 million roubles.

This is the third CEDRUS’s plant in the country and the second in the south of Russia. At present, the manufacturing unit is capable to release up to 200,000 tons of products per year and by the year 2021 its capacity will amount to 600,000 tons per year. Apart from production of dry construction mixes, the plant will carry out drying and fractionation of sand.

Over 20,000 tons of products can be stored in a warehouse unit with an area of 6,700. The facility will release over 100 kinds of modified construction mixes under the brands of “Osnovit”, “Stroybrig” and “Indastro”, that are planned to be supplied to 17 regions of Russia, including Crimea.

The new plant has already become the most high-technology enterprise producing dry construction mixes. Moreover, unique technologies have been applied over the course of its building.

In the near future, the enterprise will get its own certified laboratory complying with all required international standards of quality. The laboratory will carry out a 5-stage control, including control of raw materials and end products.

“Sooner or later the crisis will be over. We are considering new opportunities: we want to launch a fluid line here, plus, the opportunities provided by export. These are the Middle Eastern states,” said Vladimir Dokuchaev in an interview to our correspondent.
