According to Andrey Chibis, the second pilot project in Vladivostok was initiated by Japanese over the course of the 12th Japanese-Russian Intergovernmental Commission in Tokyo.
Ministry for Development of Russian Far East is ready to support this project as well, including financing from its fund. Representatives of this governmental body together with officials from Russian Construction Ministry intend to set up a special office to develop this pilot project.
The structure itself of Vladivostok’s project will be clarified in December, after a visit of Japanese delegation in the Russian Far East. We should remind you that the first project for the development of urban environment with the use of Japanese technologies is expected to be implemented in the Russian city of Voronezh.
Within the framework of this project, the city authorities together with Japanese companies, will test a number of flagship technologies on the development of comfortable urban environment.
