Rosatom’s company signs first contract to supply mini hydro power plants abroad

At present, negotiations are being carried out over the supply of this equipment to Armenia, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, as well as the states of Africa and Latin America, the press service of Atomenergomash reports, according to RIA Novosti news agency.

The project was commissioned by International Energy Company LTD based in Georgia, which is engaged in developing a hydropower generation. Under the terms of the contract, the company will acquire the pilot station, which is to be supplied in the first half of 2017. After that, it will purchase a few more mini hydro power plants with a nominal capacity from 0.6 to 2MW.

The main advantage of a mini hydro power plant is the low cost of generated electricity, short-time delivery of equipment, minor excavation work necessary for installation, simple and quick installation process. Compact equipment has all necessary devices needed for the operation, management and control of a mini hydro power plant.
