Putin appoints Sergey Kiriyenko as Chairman of Rosatom Supervisory Board

The corresponding decree signed by Vladimir Putin was published on the Kremlin website on Tuesday. Thus, Sergey Kiriyenko replaced Boris Gryzlov, who was relieved of his post as Chairman of Rosatom Supervisory Board.

We should remind you that Sergey Kirienko has headed the Russian nuclear industry since 2005, first as the director of the Federal Agency for Atomic Energy, and from the 12th of December, 2007 as the General Director of Rosatom State Energy Corporation.

In early October, 2016, President Vladimir Putin appointed Kiriyenko as first deputy head of the Presidential Administration. From now on, he coordinates all the country’s political processes. Alexei Likhachev, formerly first Deputy Minister of Economic Development, took up the position as head of Rosatom.
