Outcome of session of Russian-Japanese working group on urban environment

As Construction.RU was told by the Ministry’s press office, over the course of the session, the first results of work were announced and further steps were determined regarding the implementation of a project for the development of a comfortable urban environment in pilot Russian cities – Voronezh and Vladivostok.

A project office is planned to be established on the territory of Primorye, the region with the largest economy in the Russian Far East. The office will be tasked with controlling realization of Russian-Japanese projects in the key areas of further cooperation in regards to the development of the Russian port city of Vladivostok. These areas will include projects in the field of transportation, urban planning, modernization of communal infrastructure and waste management.

Within the framework of the session, Vice Governor of the Primorsky region, Vasily Usoltsev, who is responsible for the implementation of the Russian-Japanese projects, presented seven potential projects for urban development of Vladivostok. These initiatives are supposed to be further elaborated and launched in the near future.
