According to him, a tender will be announced any day now, the construction is likely to be located in the area of Saki in the west of Crimea.
Presently, Rostech’s structure, Technoproexport, is building two thermal electric power plants on the peninsula, in Simferopol and Sevastopol. Their aggregate capacity will be 940 MW. The first energy blocks of the two plants are planned to be put in operation in the first half of 2018. The second stage, according to the Deputy Minister, will include putting in operation two more units of the same capacity. This will provide for reliable supply of Crimea with own energy resources.
