96,1 million rubles ($1,5 million) have been allocated from the regional budget for the design of a multi-use ice arena which will be located in the Siberian city of Novosibirsk.




As stated in a tender documentation published on the public procurement website, the tender was announced by the Construction Ministry of the Novosibirsk region. The facility is planned to be built on Nemirovich-Danchenko Street, in the Ob river zone on the south side of the October Bridge.

Completion of construction activities is scheduled for October 20 this year. The sports complex with a total area of ​​6,300 square meters will house stands designed for 10,000 spectators.

Earlier it was reported that the ice arena’s construction estimated at 4.5 billion rubles will be funded from the budget of the Novosibirsk region. The regional authorities expect that the new arena will become a venue for the Youth World Hockey Championship in 2023.
