Some 169 million rubles ($2,7 million) was allocated from the federal budget for the reconstruction of the Vyazemsky-Dolgoruky estate located in Maly Znamensky lane in the Russian capital city.




The renovated building will house the Gallery of Old Masters' Art which is part of the “Museum Town” of the State Museum n.a. A.S. Pushkin. All reconstruction activities at the estate must be completed by May of 2019.

The tender was announced by Pushkin Museum. According to the available documentation, the contractor will have to carry out a comprehensive reconstruction, restoration of the manor, and will also have to adapt the building to an exhibition site. In particular, it is necessary to recreate the ceilings, roofs, and facades of the building, using historical samples. Windows, doors, and floors should be replaced with new ones. Also, on the territory of the estate, several fenders made of natural stone are planned to be built.

Companies wishing to participate in the tender must submit applications no later than May 11, 2018. The winner of the contest will be announced on May 16.
