By as early as the third quarter of 2017, the railway bypassing Ukraine - from Zhuravka in the Voronezh region to Millerovo in the Rostov region - will become fully functional.
This is what the Deputy Minister of Defense for Russia and the General of the Army, Dmitry Bulgakov, told reporters in Moscow following a session of the committee for the construction of the branch railway line.
According to him, the work at the construction site of the 122,500-kilometer track is currently ahead of schedule. Bulgakov noted that as early as April 20th, the Railway Forces of the Russian Federation will start the rail-laying work from Zhuravka, connecting the station towards Bechenkovo.
