In Moscow, negotiations have been held between the head of the Department for External Economic and International Relations of Moscow, Sergey Cheremin, and the Italian ambassador to Russia, Cesare Maria Ragaglini.
As Construction.ru was told by the press office of the Moscow city administration, the Italian party showed a special interest in the possible participation of this construction company in the expansion of the Moscow metro network, the reconstruction of sporting objects, and the complex exploration of the New Moscow territory.
They are also interested in the modernization of the Moscow road infrastructure. Beside this, Ragaglini pointed out positive shifts and trends towards the simplification of administrative procedures regarding business activity in the capital of Russia.
Unlike many other Western European countries, Italy has traditionally maintained good relationships with Russia, even during the Soviet era. At present, Italy is Russia's second most important commercial partner in the EU after Germany.
