Moscow Committee for Price Policy in Construction and Projects State Expertise has agreed the project of repair and restoration work at the substructure with a balustrade of the Cathedral’s complex.
As Construction.ru was told by a press office of the department, the Cathedral’s substructure needs repairs inside the buildings at the spots of leakage.
Beside this, the project envisages installation of additional translucent cover over the lamps to protect them from precipitation.
The project of major repairs includes dismantling an existing make-up of roof covering up to bearing plate, water-draining system, the balustrade’s components and top element of cladding.
The stylobate exterior walls are reinforced at the spots of fracture, the expansion joints are being repaired, as well as steel beams.
All construction work will take 24 months. Based on the results of the state expertise, the estimated cost of the project is reduced to 236m roubles.
