On the 23rd of March, the President of Tajikistan, Emomali Rahmon, put into operation the Huaxin Gayur-Sughd Cement plant, with a capacity of 1m tons of 400, 500 and 600 cement marks per year.




According to the press office of the head of the state, the enterprise was built by the Tajik Ghayur-Sughd Cement Co in partnership with the Chinese Huaxin Gayur Cement company.

The construction site occupied 48 hectares in the Bobodzhongafur region of the country. The implementation of work the equipping of the plant required investment totalling $127 mln.

No-waste production technology is used at the plant. The price of cement in Tajikistan is expected to go down by 35% as soon as the facility is put into operation. To remind you, this is the 6th cement plant to be commissioned in Tajikistan in the last 3 years.
