Jordan has asked Russia to start supplying liquefied natural gas (LNG) from Gazprom at a discount price.
This was indicated in the records of a session of the Russian-Jordanian intergovernmental commission. The same document states that the parties are ready to extend bilateral cooperation in the field of energy and to further develop interaction between business entities in both countries.
In particular, Jordan is interested in the Russian companies’ participation in the realization of projects on hydrocarbon exploration and production on its territory.
Most significantly, the Jordanian party has offered Russia the chance to build an industrial zone to produce machinery, automobiles and agricultural equipment.
To remind you, earlier in February this year Egypt gave Russia two million square meters to build a Russian industrial zone in East Port Said. This will include a naval port and an industrial, logistics and residential area.
