Since the Kerch Bridge project started, over 3 mln tons of sand, ballast stone and pipes have been brought to the construction site for the piled foundation. The “Krymsky Most” information center provided this information to Construction.ru on Monday.
As its representative specified, the construction materials are being supplied on a twenty-four hour basis in a steady stream – by railway, seagoing barges and automobiles.
“Only Russian companies from different regions of the country are permitted to produce and supply these materials. However, priority is being given to plants and quarries located close to the construction site”, pointed out the director for construction at “Stroygazmontazh” LLC, Leonid Ryzhenkin.
At present, rotational camps are being erected on the Canal coasts, temporary roads are being laid out, and the platforms for the overall metalwork assembly are being established.
