Belarus is ready to exchange the Minsk wheeled tractor plant for an oil-field in Russia, the country’s President, Alexander Lukashenko, said in his address to the nation and the republican parliament.
Moreover, Mr Lukashenko has specified that the deal should imply an ordinary, but a large oil field. At his estimates, such oil-field should produce 10m tons of “black gold” a year. In exchange Russia will get a ready-for-use defense plant, manufacturing in necessary quantity automobiles for the nuclear missiles transportation.
“Why there is no answer? Guess by yourself. We build up our relationship pragmatically and this isn’t what we should be criticized for”, - concluded the President of Belarus.
It should be reminded that Belarus annually purchases 22m tons of oil in Russia.
