The son of Russian billionaire Roman Abramovich, Arkady, has set up a new enterprise, in the Belgorod region of Russia, which will be engaged in the construction of the biggest greenhouse complex for growing tomatoes and cucumbers.
A 99.99% stake in the new company, “Greenhouse” LLC, belongs to “Sigma Capital”, owned by Arkadiy Abramovich, and 0.01% is owned by him personally, reported the RBC agency on the 25th of April.
At the end of December 2015, the young businessman was also going to erect large greenhouses in the Rostov region, with an area of 200 hectares. According to the plan, the complex will be located in the so-called area of leading social and economic development named “Gukovo”.
The project is still under negotiation between the investors and the authorities.
According to Forbes, Roman Abramovich's net worth in 2015 was $7.8 billion, which made him the 12th richest person in Russia. Internationally, he is best known as the owner of Chelsea Football Club.
