A grand IKEA hypermarket with an area of 200,000 m2 will be erected near the Russian city of Chelyabinsk. The store will become a part of the MEGA mall.
The Investment Development Agency plans to discuss the infrastructure development within the framework of preparation for the construction of a new hypermarket, the regional press office told Construction.ru.
The total area will amount to about 200,000 m2.
The regional authorities have also pledged to create comfortable conditions to help investors implement this large-scale project.
Russia is the fourth IKEA market by revenue. There are three stores in Moscow and two in St. Petersburg. There are also stores in Nizhny Novgorod, Yekaterinburg, Kazan, Novosibirsk and certain other cities of Russia.
