From 2011 to 2015, the number of sports objects put into operation in Moscow amounted to 55.
As the press office of Moscow Urban Development Policy and Construction Complex said, this includes health and fitness centers, eight of which are equipped with ice platforms.
Moreover, there are 11 football fields under construction for youth sports schools.
Within the course of five last years the volume of commissioned objects has increased twofold, due in particular to the city’s preparation for the Hockey World Championship 2016 and the World Cup 2018.
By this period of time, the Rowing Canal in Krylatskoye and the “Megasport” arena will have been reconstructed and put into operation. An ice palace in the “Legends’ park” cluster will also have been built.
