As it became known on Friday, 3 senior officials of the Municipal Executive Committee of Kazan have been arrested in the capital of Tatarstan. One of them is the son of a member of the Tatarstan parliament.
The issue concerns the first Deputy Head of the Legal Department of the Executive Committee's Office, Alexey Rybushkin, the Head of the Legal Bureau of the Financial Management Department, Yulduz Garipov, and a lawyer, Albert Mukhutdinov, the police press office told Construction.ru.
All of them are suspected of a number of thefts from the city budget of a total amount of 54 m roubles. The perpetrators’ names have been disclosed after an internal check, carried out over several months.
The investigators conducted an analysis of the funds transferred from the budget. The results of this audit provided the grounds for filing a case with the Federal Security Service of Russia (FSB).
In particular, it has been revealed that the officials gained an amount of money under a forged contractor agreement completed in 2005.
