Beijing’s MAD architects are working on their first European residential project, which includes a sinuous building in northwest Paris, Archdaily.com reports.
MAD has won an international tender and will implement the project in a partnership with Biecher Architects.
The building will have 13 storeys and a total area of 6,600 m2. Each floor spills out onto exterior spaces that act as a vertical extension of the 10 hectares of green space in Martin Luther King Park. The upper floors will offer views of the surrounding city.
At the podium level, a kindergarten, retail spaces and restaurants will be located. It will also provide direct access to the Metro.
