The Russian Ministry of Construction, Housing and Utilities has proposed the development of special concrete structures, as well as antirust compounds for construction, for work to be carried out in the Arctic region.
These measures were suggested for inclusion in a new version of a state program on the development of the Arctic zone in Russia, the Ministry's press office told Construction.ru. Moreover, the Ministry proposed the elaboration of a mechanism of geotechnical monitoring of large towns in the Arctic zone.
The goal is to work out new approaches to territorial development in areas where climate change is significantly influencing changes in ground temperature.
This will also contribute to preventing emergency situations in residential and industrial areas, railways and highways.
