The chief specialist of the municipal control department of the Novorossiysk city administration has been detained on a charge of bribery. The official is suspected of receiving a bribe for covering up unauthorized construction.
The suspect, using his position, has indicated 3-storey squatted houses located in Myskhako village, the press office of the regional department of the Investigative Committee of Russia told Construction.RU.
No license was obtained by the builder, but the official promised to the house owner that he would turn a blind eye to this in exchange for a 200,000 rouble bribe. The builder agreed, but later reported the violation to the police.
