On the 27th of May, the court of the city of Novosibirsk arrested the deputy head of the regional department of the Federal State Reserve Agency for the Siberian federal district, Ilgiz Garifullin.
The media reporting the arrest said that a criminal case under the “Bribery” article of the Russian Criminal Code was initiated against this high-ranking official. According to the investigators, Ilgiz Garifullin received an expensive Porsche Cayenne as a bribe.
During the police search of Mr Garifullin’s house in Novosibirsk, the investigating operatives found an expensive collection of precious guns and over 100m roubles in different currencies.
