Russian Defense Ministry examines construction sites at Kurils and Kamchatka

The First Deputy Defense Minister of Russia, Ruslan Tsalikov, and the Ministry’s Deputy Head, Timur Ivanov, paid a visit to the Kuril Islands, Kamchatka, and the Khabarovsk and Zabaikalsky regions to carry out examinations of construction sites.




As the body’s press office told Construction.ru on Monday, the Ministry’s top officials will carefully check the development of the Lagunnoe and Goryachie Klyuchi military camps, located on the Kuril Islands, as well as the reconstruction of the pier area’s objects and the waterfront infrastructure base on Kamchatka.

The high-ranking visitors also plan to examine the construction of residential buildings in the city of Khabarovsk and military objects with infrastructure on the Zabaikalye Territory.

A number of working meetings have been scheduled to be conducted with officials to discuss the further development of military facilities construction in the Far East. The corresponding assignment has been given by the head of the Defense Ministry, Sergei Shoigu.
