The authorities of the Moscow region have approved the construction of a section of the high-speed Moscow–Kazan–Yekaterinburg railway with a length of 85 km.
The railway section will pass through the cities of Reutov, Balashikha and Elektrotal, and the territories of the Noginsk, Pavlovo-posadsk and Orekhovo-Zuevsk municipal districts. It will allow one to get from Moscow to Noginsk in just half an hour, and to Orekhovo-Zuevo in 45 minutes.
The section crossing the Moscow region will be 85 km long. The project involves the construction of two additional railways along the northern boundary in the direction of Gorkov, as well as a projected highway.
