Ecological catastrophe might have happened in the Moscow region following the actions of the former head of the Russian Aerospace Forces’ operational strategic command, who established a large garbage dump in Klyazma.
Investigation of this high-profile case has been completed, Life reports.
It has been established that the former head of the Russian Aerospace Forces’ operational strategic command, lieutenant general Valery Ivanov, concluded a contract with “ProyektStroy” LLC in December 2010.
In accordance with this document, re-cultivation work and ecological lands recovery would have been carried out in one of Russian Aerospace Forces’ military units. Instead, in 2011, over 160,000 tons of wastes had been brought to the site.
Ecological damage caused by these actions has amounted to 380 m roubles.
