RZhD International, a subsidiary of the Russian Railways LLC, has completed ahead of schedule the reconstruction of three northern sections of the 10th Trans-European corridor, having finished the work long before the contract terms expire.
TASS news agency reports today citing the company’s press release.
According to the plan of a customer, Serbian Railways Infrastructure JSC, the reconstruction work was expected to last until February 2017.
Under the contract, RZhD International has carried out reconstruction of three section of a total length of more than 65 km. These sections are the following: Sopot Kosmaysky – Kovachevac (18 km) – Mala Krsna – Velika Plana (29 km) and Ruma – Golubintsy (18 km). At the same time, following the reconstruction, the traffic speed has increased from 30 km per hour to 120 km per hour. A total cost of the relative auxiliary agreement was $48,7 m.
The object has been commissioned ahead of the schedule due to efficient organizational decisions, appliance of Russian technologies and machinery intended for railways reconstruction.
