The Altay interregional environmental prosecutor’s office has carried out an inspection of the construction of the second Leroy Merlin mall in the city of Barnaul.
Following the inspection, grave breaches of regulations have been detected, the regional prosecutor’s press office told Construction.RU. In particular, building rubble is piled nearby the construction site of a future mall, located in the water protection zone of the Ob River. The wastes occupy an area of 6700 sq.m.
At the same time, all required documentation on the wastes handling is absent and payment for negative impact on the environment hasn’t been made.
A contractor general of the construction is “Substalkonstruktsiya”, LLC. It’s noteworthy that violations have been revealed in the action of a sub-contractor, “22 region”, LLC, as well.
