Despite the sanctions imposed upon the Russian Federation by the Western countries, Russia holds a leading position in Europe in amount of foreign direct investments.
This is what the managing partner for Russia of the Ernst & Young company, Alexander Ivlev, said on Thursday at the International Economic Forum in Saint Petersburg. In this rating Russia yields just to Germany, Great Britain and France.
In particular, in 2015, investors from the Western Europe have made investments in 106 projects on the territory of Russia. This is a record number for the last 10 years. Annual growth of foreign direct investments has amounted to 77%.
It’s noteworthy that the biggest foreign investor in Russian economy is Germany. Its entrepreneurs have invested in 36 projects and created 2076 jobs in Russia.
