The authorities of the Irkutsk region have discussed with the representatives of “Pharmasintez” company the project for the construction of one of the largest pharmaceutical plants in Russia.
The negotiations were held within the framework of the Saint Petersburg International Economic Forum, the regional press office told Construction.RU on Friday.
New enterprise will release active pharmaceutical ingredients. The plant is located in the Usolye-Sibirsky priority development area. The facility’s construction is estimated at 10 bln roubles.
Implementation of the “Pharmasintez” project in Usolye will allow to reduce dependence on medicine import.
The Irkutsk region is located in southeastern Siberia, in Russia. Chemicals is one of the main industries of the region, along with metals, energy, logging, oil and fuels, machine-building, food industry and hydroelectricity.
