Gazprombank, the third largest bank in Russia, considers investment projects in the housing and utility sector of Russian economy, said First Vice-President, Head of Gazprombank Private Banking, Dmitry Peshnev-Podolsky within the framework of the international Economic Forum in Saint Petersburg. According to him, the investments will total 15 bln roubles.




Dmitry Peshnev-Podolsky emphasized that the bank examines the projects “in half the subjects of the Russian Federation”.

“We are going to act as an investor and a financial consultant”, - pointed out the banker. He specified that Gazprombank has already allocated funds in the housing and utility sector in five region of Russia.

In the opinion of Dmitry Peshnev-Podolsky, the banking sector might become one of the key sources of investment into the housing and utilities infrastructure.

“As of 2015 year end, 23 trl roubles was on deposits in the banking sector, 7 trl roubles of which accounted for the major clients’ accounts. Part of that money might have been allocated to investments in the housing and utility sector”, - he added.
