Head of the Ingush Republic located in the North Caucasus region of Russia, Yunus-Bek Yevkurov, banned the construction of detached homes in the Republic’s capital city, Magas, the regional press office told Interfax.

According to the agency's source, Yunus-Bek Yevkurov voiced his decision to prohibit the construction of one storey and two storeys residential houses over the course of his visit to the land plot in Magas. Recently, on this place municipal authorities and law enforcement agencies have prevented an attempt to illegally erect a building.
“Magas is our common capital, it should comply with its status. There is no much of free land. If we allow to erect here detached homes, then where will we spend leisure time with our families, receive education, go into sports. For that purpose, it's necessary to construct facilities, in what the authorities are engaged”, - clarified Head of the Ingush Republic.
