IKEA hold negotiations on purchasing of the part of a land plot in Moscow, where previously used to be located a notorious Cherkizov market square, Kommersant newspaper reports on Monday.
Swedish company searches for a land plot to establish there a construction site of the first Moscow MEGA mall.
“This site will be an alternative to the land plot located near “Begovaya” metro station. The latter was rejected by the Swedish Holding for the reason of excessive amount of the required investments”, - says the newspaper.
IKEA negotiates the deal with CJSC “Kiev Square”, the owner of “European” trade center and “Ukraine” hotel.
Cherkizov market square was closed in 2009, until than it occupied 72 hectares in the north-east of Moscow.
