Usage of specific Hyperloop technologies for passengers' transportation in the capital of Russia is still premature, Deputy Mayor of Moscow, Marat Khusnullin, told reporters on Friday.
Nevertheless, according to Marat Khusnullin, in future people's transportation by means of Hyperloop might become a reality.
However, first of all, Hyperloop technologies are of interest in the field of transfer of cargo. Now vacuum technologies are applied in Moscow to dispose of rubbish in “Museon” park. Possibility of its usage in “Zaradye” park is also being negotiated.
As a reference, the idea of the Hyperloop vacuum train was presented in 2012 by an engineer, entrepreneur and an investor, Elon Musk. According to his estimates, the new transport vehicle will be 2 times faster than an airplane and 3 or 4 times faster than a high-speed train.
