Over the course of the NATO-Russia Council meeting, which is scheduled for the 13th of July 2016, the parties are going to discuss the NATO military build-up in the Eastern Europe, TASS news agency cites a spokeswoman for Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova.
According to Maria Zakharova, the main issue expected to be raised at a session is the results of Warsaw summit held from 8th to 9th of July. The military build-up will be also discussed in the context of European security, she added.
Apart from that, the Ukrainian crisis and terrorism threat will also be in the spotlight.
As a reference, following Crimea’s entering the Russian Federation, NATO suspended cooperation with Moscow. Since then, NATO-Russia Council convened twice: on the 2nd of June 2014, and on the 20th of April 2016.
