Following the completion of a number of internal procedures, Russia has launched the work at a construction site of a railway bridge across the Amur River to China, Russian ambassador-at-large, Yevgeniy Tomikhin, told reporters on Thursday in Beijing.
According to him, the erection of a passage in the area of Nizhneleninskoye – Tongxiang is underway on both parties.
The bridge will connect the Jewish Autonomous Region of Russia and Heilongjiang Province in China. It’s expected that the object will have been constructed and put into operation in a year and a half or in two years.
According to the available data, Russia is investing 14 bln roubles in the bridge construction, whereas China allocated 5,2 bln.
