The regional governments of two Far Eastern regions of Russia, Yakutia and the Khabarovsk region, intend to join efforts to promote the project of a road construction, in order to receive financing from the federal budget.
The authorities of Yakutia and the Khabarovsk region agreed on the construction of Yakutsk – Nelkan – Ayan highway, “Gubernia” website reports on Tuesday citing the press office of the regional government. This project has been covered in a plan of action regarding cooperation between two subjects over the period of 2016 – 2020.
The new road will provide access to the sea for our neighbours, as well as a perspective raw materials export to the Asia-Pacific Region, said the Khabarovsk region’s governor, Vyacheslav Shprot.
