Saudi Arabia is ready to offer to Russia economic cooperation with the states of the Persian Gulf, as well as solid investments in exchange for Moscow’s decision to abandon its support for Syrian President, Bashar al-Assad.
This is what Head of Saudi Foreign Ministry, Adel al-Jubeir, said in an interview to the Brussels’ Politico. According to him, Saudi Arabia is ready to grant Russia an access to the market of the countries of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf, as well as to investments, which potential exceeds the China’s one.
“We are ready to provide Russia with a portion in the Middle East, which will make Russia more powerful, than the USSR was”, - said the Minister.
Al-Jubeir claims that only this way, not the one with Assad, will serve the mutual interests of both countries.
