The Kerch Bridge is to be illuminated with the colours of the Russian flag – red, blue and white, the “Krymsky Most” information center told Construction.RU on Wednesday.
The project provides for architectural and static colour image. Thus, the navigation span of the bridge will be illuminated with three colours along the whole motorway.
The highway arch span will be illuminated with the blue colour, the railway one – with the red one, the poles and the external vertical structural member – by the white colour.
Illumination of a bridge crossing is an essential prerequisite for safety traffic during hours of darkness.
We should remind you that the 19 kilometers Kerch Bridge is expected to have the record length in Russia. The bridge is scheduled to be opened for automobile traffic in 2018, for rail movement – in 2019.
