Construction of main objects of “Matlas” tourist center in the Caucasian Republic of Dagestan is scheduled to be launched in spring 2017, the Ministry of North Caucasus Affairs announced on Wednesday.
A total area of the resort amounts to 120 hectares. At present, the builders are erecting infrastructure, in particular, the roads, which will connect the future resort with the capital cities of Dagestan and Chechnya.
According to the Ministry of North Caucasus Affairs, a balneotherapeutic health complex, a detox center, a golf course and hotels are planned to be built on the territory of the resort. Within the framework of the creation of an agro-tourist cluster, a farm will be constructed with the purpose to supply the resort with fresh food stuffs. The farm will also export its products on the foreign markets under its own brand. Apart from that, there will be an equestrian center and a zoo for children.
The total cost of the construction is estimated at 20,4 bln roubles.
