Construction of large helicopter complex launched near Moscow

On the 27th of July, construction of a helicopter complex, “Heliport Kaluga”, started in Kaluga, the city located 150 kilometers southwest of Moscow.




The work will be carried out at three stages, the regional press office told Construction.RU. At the same time, 9,000 square meters of buildings will be erected on the land plot with an area of 6,5 hectares.

Up to 500 m roubles are expected to be invested in the first stage of the construction. “Heliport Kaluga” will serve as a base for Robinson, Airbus Helicopters, Bell and Agusta helicopters.

The flights from Kaluga and Moscow will begin in autumn 2016. Commercial flights are also provided by the project.

“Heliport Kaluga” will be included in a national helicopter network, which unites 10 complexes all over the country.
