Construction of a bridge across the Amur River, connecting Russia and China, in the area of Blagoveschensk on the Russian part and the city of Heihe on the Chinese part, is scheduled to begin late in 2016.
Before that, the project will have to undergo a state expertise, as well as a joint Russia-Chinese enterprise is to be established with the purpose to carry out construction work, governor of the Amur region, Alexander Kozlov, said in an interview to TASS news agency on the first day of the Eastern Economic Forum.
“In the fourth quarter of the year 2016, development of design and estimate documentation is planned to be completed, as well as a state expertise is to be undergone,” said the governor.
