Russian Gazprom and Chinese CNPC signed EPС-contract for the construction of an underwater line of the Power of Siberia pipeline, Interfax reports on Monday.
Within the framework of G20 summit in China, Gazprom CEO, Alexey Miller, and Chairman of the Board of Directors of CNPC, Van Ilin, signed EPС-contract for the construction of an underwater line at the trans-border section of the Power of Siberia pipeline in the Amur River.
“In accordance with the contract, the line is to be laid by means of shield drivage. The contractor is China Petroleum Pipeline, a pipeline bureau of CNPC,” the statement said.
Van Ilin vowed earlier that in the year 2016, CNPC would build 30 – 80 km of the Chinese section of the Power of Siberia pipeline.
