Building of a railway line between the Thai cities of Bangkok and Nakhonratchasima is likely to start in the near future, announced Deputy Prime Minister of Thailand, Prayut Chan-o-cha.
At present, Thailand and china are discussing financing and other issues related to the railway construction. In case the negotiations are successful, the road building will be launched at the end of this year or at the beginning of 2017, Prayut Chan-o-cha said in an interview to the Xinhua News Agency.
According to the Thai official, improvement of railway network is crucial of economy of Thailand, whereas China has an extended experience of high-speed roads building. Chinese trains and technologies are to be used at the Bangkok – Nakhonratchasima railway line.
