Vice governor of the Krasnodar region, Sergey Altukhov, and German Standke Group’s representatives discussed yesterday in the city of Krasnodar the possibility of construction of an alternative highway from Chernigovskoye village towards Dagomys village at the Black Sea.

The highway with the length of 115 kilometers will bypass a specially protected area of the Caucasian State Biosphere Reserve, the regional press office told Construction.RU. Bridges and tunnels need to be constructed over the course of implementation of this project.

The parties agreed that they would jointly develop a business case for the project, as well as a “road map” for its implementation, that they would discuss options of preferences, which the regional administration could guarantee to the investor.

In case the agreement is reached, the Germans will build this toll road at their own expense.
