Police arrested a man, who commandeered the crane at downtown Calgary construction site, crcconnection.com reports on the 20th of September.
The building company, which executed construction works at the site, is unaware who that man is, nor does it know the reason for his behavior.
In order to arrest a suspicious person climbing a crane, the police had to temporary shut down 10 Avenue S.W. between 9 Street and 6 Street S.W., where the construction site is located.
Apart from the police, a fire guard, emergency ambulance and negotiators arrived at the scene.
According to the police, negotiators managed to talk the man voluntarily coming out. After that, the “crane climber” was put into custody.
