Sales of new houses in the USA dropped in August by 7,6% compared with the previous month, when they attained a maximum of 2007, but saw a 20,6% increase compared with August of the year 2015.
This data has been provided by the U.S. Department of Commerce. Nevertheless, earlier, experts forecast a 8,3% decline in August, down to 600,000 houses, MarketWatch reports.
Despite slumping sales outlined on a monthly basis in August, over the course of eight months this year, sales volume of new buildings increased by 13,3% compared with the similar period in 2015.
Experts positively assesses this apparent trend for growth, expecting that recovery of the housing market would bolster U.S. economy on the whole.
